I've posted these songs here (see the index under "Monday Music"), and they are usually songs that have been sung by our choir or congregation on Sunday.

I also love traditional hymns...especially those that have been updated with a different arrangement or leaving out the organ in favor of the addition of various instruments such as the flute, violin, drums, guitar, etc.

That being said---I am enough of a conservative that I don't particularly enjoy a worship service that has a rock concert feel or a pep rally atmosphere, but I am willing to have those types of services occaisionally if it meets the needs of my fellow congregants, just as I am willing to have a trraditional service occaisionally to meet the needs of the demographic that perfers an all hymn format.

Blended seems to be the best in my opinion because it reaches the most people. However, most congregants are really uneducated regarding what blended means. What it means to me could be different for you, and so the struggle continues.elementary historyteacherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02326244969405328693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3898740645099467039.post-68498880674660473832008-04-10T07:47:00.000-04:002008-04-10T07:47:00.000-04:00Traditional for me!Traditional for me!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3898740645099467039.post-47188385004570364862008-04-10T00:43:00.000-04:002008-04-10T00:43:00.000-04:00Blended for me . . . I love to hear and sing an old hymm, but honestly would be bored if that is all we did. I find the newer music really touches me.

I do believe that music is absolutely one of the most important aspects of a good church - at least it is for me.

Great shot and thanks for stopping by my WW!
