This painting is called "Doubting Thomas" and was masterfully done by Caravaggio.

From the book of John:

Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you."

Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe."

Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!"

Ahhh, Doubting Thomas. There are times when I feel like him.

Caravaggio did some interesting things considering he was drunk and spent most of his time fighting.

He could paint some lovely images though.
